Rise and Shine: The Early Bird Gets the Cool Air

My alarm blares at 5:30 AM, and I’m up and at ’em. As a technician for Maglish Plumbing, Heating, & Electric, I know that every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our customers stay comfortable.

After a quick breakfast and coffee, I hop in my service van and head to our first call of the day in Merrillville, IN. Mrs. Johnson’s AC unit has been acting up, and with temperatures soaring, it’s crucial we get it fixed ASAP.

Morning: Troubleshooting and Repairs

Upon arrival, I diagnose the issue: a faulty compressor. After explaining the problem to Mrs. Johnson, I get to work on the AC repair. It’s a complex job, but nothing our Maglish team can’t handle. By mid-morning, cool air is flowing again, and Mrs. Johnson is all smiles.

Midday: HVAC Installation in Valparaiso

Next stop: Valparaiso, IN. We’re doing a full HVAC installation for a new home construction. This is where our expertise really shines. I meet up with my colleague, and we get to work:

Setting up the outdoor unit

Just as we’re wrapping up in Valparaiso, we get an urgent call from Chesterton. A restaurant’s AC has completely shut down during the lunch rush. We rush over and quickly identify the issue: a blown capacitor. Within an hour, we’ve replaced the part and got their AC service back up and running.

Evening: Wrapping Up in Crown Point

Our final stop of the day is in Crown Point for a routine maintenance check. These preventative services are crucial for keeping HVAC systems running efficiently. As the sun sets, I finish up the paperwork and head back to the Maglish office.
